In case of divergence the French text shall prevail, except in Parts I (Covenant of the League of Nations) and XII (Labour) , where the French and English texts shall be of equal force.

  5. For all purposes connected with the present Treaty, Egypt and Egyptian nationals, their goods and vessels, shall be treated on the same footing, as from 1 August 1914, as the Allied Powers, their nationals, goods and vessels, and provisions in respect of territory under Turkish sovereignty, or of territory detached from Turkey in accordance with the present Treaty, shall not apply to Egypt.
