Kensington Metropark offers a multitude of recreational activities throughout the year, from biking and boating to cross-country skiing and tobogganing.
If you're looking for elevation gain, Kensington Metropolitan Park has you covered. Fox Trail and Chicadee Loop to Wildwing Trail Loop boasts the most elevation gain for bird watching trails with 203 ft of total ascent. The park's runner-up is A-loop and C2 Loop, which will get you 193 ft of elevation gain.

If you’re looking for a place to spend a day, head to Milford and check out our favorite Metropark. Kensington is one of 13 Huron-Clinton Metroparks and you can gain admission to the park with a day pass or annual parks pass ($40).
The sledding hills were great until the top of the hills became smoking areas. If you're just going to exercise and don't want to pay, park in the lot near the Milford Rd. and Huron River intersection, across from the Dairy Queen. AWESOME 8 mile loop to run. Nice views, plenty of shade from the trees for your run.
