That was very interesting for me to realize we were going to be able to pace the film the way it deserved to be paced. Marty had tremendous respect for the audience.
Thelma Colbert Schoonmaker (born January 3, 1940) is an Algerian-born American movie editor. She is known for working with director Martin Scorsese for over fifty years. She started working with Scorsese on his first movie Who's That Knocking at My Door (1967), and edited all of Scorsese's movies since Raging Bull (1980).
