Truthfully, I've watched enough Billy Zane that he's never really been Cal for me, though I really enjoy his performance in Titanic. My default for him isn't a role so much as a line said about him in Tombstone: "Prettiest man I ever saw!" LOL
I don't really blame him for Winter Dragon, and he probably could have been a decent Ishamael, but others in this thread are right that any appearance of him would be colored by Winter Dragon. It's not Ed Sheeran in GoT cringey though, since Billy Zane is actually an actor. It's more "Lou Ferrigno as a janitor in the new Hulk movies" cringey.
