Troup had appeared in several episodes of the Jack Webb television series Dragnet. In 1972, Webb cast Troup as Dr. Joe Early in the television series Emergency! with Webb's former wife Julie London as nurse Dixie McCall. Sadly, this would also be London’s undoing, as in 1999, she was diagnosed with lung cancer and refused medical treatment, as she was already weakened. After each breath was rendered a huge battle, Julie London died on October 18, 2000, at the age of 74 after forging a musical and medical legacy that endures to this day. Rest in peace.

3 de ago. de 2023 · Trivia Note: This was a Jack Webb production, Julie London was Webb’s ex-wife and was currently married to Bobby Troup (Dr. Joe Early) Troup also appeared in roles in Dragnet and Adam-12 both of which were Webb productions. What made this series so good was its authenticity.
