Hace 5 días · Old Believer, member of a group of Russian religious dissenters who refused to accept the liturgical reforms imposed upon the Russian Orthodox Church by the patriarch of Moscow Nikon (1652–58). Numbering millions of faithful in the 17th century, the Old Believers split into a number of different sects, of which several survived into modern times.

The church of ALL SAINTS is a small building consisting of chancel 23 ft. 6 in. by 15 ft. 9 in. and aisleless nave 44 ft. 6 in. by 19 ft. 1½ in., with south porch and western bellcote. The walls of the present building are substantially of early 12th-century date and the church has never been enlarged.
