Walter Stewart (c.1338–1362) was the second son of Robert Stewart, 7th High Steward of Scotland (afterwards King Robert II) and Elizabeth Mure. He married Isabella, Countess of Fife between 21 July 1360 and 20 July 1361 and was styled Lord of Fife—he died in late 1362.
When Walter Stewart 3rd Laird of Baldorran was born about 1479, in Campsie, Stirlingshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, his father, Lord William Stewart -2nd of Baldorran, 1st of Lettir, 1st Royal Bailie of Balquhidder, was 22 and his mother, Mariot Campbell of Glenorchy, was 20. He married Euphemia Reideugh Of Tulliechettill before 1510.
Brief Life History of Walter. When Walter Stewart 1st Earl of Atholl was born in 1360, in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland, his father, Robert II King of Scots, was 44 and his mother, Euphemia Ross - Queen Consort of Scotland, was 40. He married Margaret Barclay, Lady of Brechin before 1375.
In consequence of this he succeeded to that Earldom, and was styled Earl of Fife and Menteith." (page 146) "He married, first, Margaret, Countess of Menteith, only daughter of Sir John Graham and Mary, Countess of Menteith, widow of Sir John Moray, Lord of Bothwell, Thomas, thirteenth Earl of Mar, and Sir John Drummond of Concraig.
Walter married Janet ERSKINE, daughter of Sir Robert ERSKINE Lord Erskine, 13th Earl of Mar (1st creation) and Elizabeth LINDSAY. 1 (Janet ERSKINE was born about 1408.) Marriage Notes: "Sir Walter of Lennox, and after the death of his brother styled of Fife, Lennox, and Menteith, executed at Stirling 24 May 1425.
