Alternate Universe. Bisexuality. Prostitution. This is an alternate universe story. For anyone who follows Big Valley fanfic, it seems like at some point everyone does their own version of how Heath comes to the Valley. This is mine. To set the timeline, the year is 1870. Jarrod is 28, Nick 24, Heath 20 and Audra 14.
November 30, 1965. 51min. 13+. Nick is bit by a rabid wolf, a virtual death sentence. Not wanting his family to witness his decline, he leaves, making Heath swear he won't tell the others what has happened. Nick hopes that in his final 60 days he will do something worthwhile; if he fails, at least he will have tried.
Mon, May 19, 1969. A dying prisoner asks his son to kill the two people whose testimony caused his death, a Stockton banker named Clark and Victoria Barkley. After Clark is murdered, Jarrod, unaware that Victoria is the next target, agrees to act as the son's lawyer when he is put on trial for murder.
