It's not for the faint of heart, however, as it's time consuming and requires a great deal of patience as Frazier takes his time with his descriptions of the landscape and the people as Inman, a soldier broken in spirit by the futility and waste of the Civil War, decides to walk home to Ada and his beloved Cold Mountain.
31 de ene. de 2024 · Cold Mountain is een epische romance, met helaas een centraal koppel met weinig chemie. Ik hoef niet uit te leggen dat dit tamelijk dodelijk is voor de filmbeleving. Jude Law en Nicole Kidman kun je dit niet kwalijk nemen (al heb ik beiden veel beter zien acteren), ze krijgen erg slappe personages en de romantische scènes zijn de slechtste van de film, vooral aan het begin als de liefde opbloeit.
