In a sort of return to roots, there's a remake of Sam Cooke's "A Long Time Coming," the song King was singing when producer T. Life discovered her at Sigma Studios in 1976.
King released three additional RCA albums on an annual basis through 1985. Face to Face, So Romantic, and A Long Time Coming saw her work with the likes of Solar Records studio mastermind Leon Sylvers III and Foster Sylvers, André Cymone, the System, and Jimmy Douglass, as well as Rufus' Bobby Watson and Hawk Wolinski, and T. Life again.

14 de dic. de 2006 · FTG reissued Evelyn King's "A Long Time Coming" on CD several years ago. Unfortunately, it was from a vinyl source. Not a bad one, but still vinyl. But, they have redeemed themselves by properly reissuing the album for a second time as a 2-disc Deluxe edition - from the master tapes and with loads of bonus tracks! And the sound is spectacular!
