The College of General Studies is a two-year, interdisciplinary and global liberal arts program within our top-ranked research university. The CGS curriculum is designed to give you a comprehensive liberal arts foundation in the humanities, social sciences, rhetoric, and natural sciences.
Students must earn a minimum grade of C in all AH courses taken toward the major. Eleven courses are required for the major in Architectural Studies: CAS AH 111 Pyramids to Cathedrals: An Introduction to Ancient and Medieval Art. CAS AH 201 Understanding Architecture. CAS AH 398 Twentieth-Century Architecture.
