En janvier 2010, Eric Clapton reforme avec Yoko Ono et Paul Simon le groupe Plastic Ono Band pour des concerts à Central Park en mars. Son dernier opus (Reprise records, 2010) sobrement titré Clapton est un recueil de titres jazzy sur lesquels apparaissent entre autres ses vieux complices Jim Keltner , J.J. Cale , Paul Carrack ou encore Sheryl Crow , Doyle Bramhall II et Derek Trucks .
