William Holman Hunt was a British painter and founding member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood alongside Dante Gabriel Rossetti and John Everett Millais.Like the rest of his oeuvre, Hunt painted his celebrated religious scene The Light of the World (1853–1854) with carefully delineated details, form, and color.
