Patrick Bonavitacola received his training as an actor at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute from Lee Strasberg. Lee invited him to become part of The Actors Studio community in 1979, and he has been associated with The Studio for more than 35 years now—first as an actor, and for the last 15 years as a member of the Playwright/Directors Unit.
The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles is constantly evolving just like the city. As we seek to meet the actors’ needs, new acting classes are designed and added to our curriculum. Each class is carefully selected or created in order to expand the training of the Method actor.
The One Year Conservatory follows the same course of study as the first nine months of the Two Year Conservatory. With 22 hours of classes per week, this program emphasizes the fundamental aspects of The Method while ensuring concentrated but broad-based instruction in voice, movement, and theatre history. In addition to Saturday and After-School classes during the traditional school year, the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute offers summer day camps and intensives for students in grades 2-12. Our Young Actors summer programs are designed to encompass students at all levels and provide foundational training in Lee Strasberg’s world renowned Method Acting technique.
