Georgina Bloomberg. Georgina Leigh Bloomberg (born January 20, 1983) is the owner of the equestrian team New York Empire, a professional equestrian, and a philanthropist. She is the daughter of Susan Brown and Michael Bloomberg – former New York City mayor, founder of Bloomberg LP.

About. Competing for: United States. Age: 41. Georgina began riding ponies at the young age of 4 and by the time she turned 18, she was one of the top junior riders in the USA. She has now won over 50 Grand Prix titles and competed in 10 Nations Cup teams for the United States. In 2008, she was long-listed for the US Olympic equestrian team.

Georgina has been competing on the GCL team circuit since its inception in 2016. Following two seasons with Miami Glory, she joined the New York Empire team in 2018. She heads up the team again in 2024 alongside familiar New York Empire faces and some new talent in Paris Sellon, and will be looking for a stronger finish this year in the overall season standings.
