Carrera. Dio sus primeros pasos en el mundo de jazz con el grupo Bob Shots. En 1950 se trasladó a París, tocando y grabando con los mejores músicos de la época. Allí conoció su futura mujer, Blossom Dearie . En 1956, Jaspar fue persuadido a probar su suerte en los Estados Unidos, donde su reputación en círculos de jazz le había precedido.

10 de dic. de 2011 · His last studio session under his name, previously reissued on Verve as Phenil Isopropil Amine, has been renamed Jeux de Quartes for its 2002 edition in the label's Jazz in Paris series. Jaspar sticks exclusively to flute on these December 1958 studio recordings (his last as a leader, except for several live dates that have appeared on Fresh Sound and Mole Jazz).
