Il est également ministre des Affaires étrangères pendant une grande partie de son mandat, et au cours de ses deux dernières années de mandat, il est Lord du sceau privé.

Conservative politician who was elected prime minister on three separate occasions: 1885-6, 1886-92 and 1895-1902. Salisbury entered the House of Commons in 1853 as MP for Stamford, Lincolnshire until he was raised to the peerage in 1868.

Robert Arthur Talbot Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury KG GCVO PC FRS (3 February 1830 - 22 August 1903) was a Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He was known as Lord Robert Cecil before 1865 and as Viscount Cranborne from 1865 until 1868.
