Lady Sarah Lennox (14 February 1745 – August 1826) was the most notorious of the famous Lennox sisters, daughters of Charles Lennox, 2nd Duke of Richmond and Sarah Cadogan. Early life [ edit ] After the deaths of both her parents when she was only five years old, Lady Sarah was brought up by her elder sister Emily in Ireland.
Lennox was not appointed. He did not vote on Shelburne’s peace preliminaries, 18 Feb. 1783; but voted for parliamentary reform, 7 May 1783; against Fox’s East India bill, 27 Nov. 1783; and supported Pitt’s Administration. He retired from Parliament in 1790, and was succeeded in his seat by his son. He died 22 Mar. 1805.

While four Lennox sisters lived to mature adulthood and a fifth lived until she was 19, three others died in childhood: Louisa Margaret (1725–1728), Anne (1726–1727), and Margaret (1739–1741). The Lennox sisters had two brothers who lived to adulthood, Charles Lennox, 3rd Duke of Richmond (1735–1806), and Lord George Lennox (1737–1805), as well as two others who died in infancy.
