1747. Landgrave Ludwig VIII of Hessen-Darmstadt has decided to reclaim Hessen-Homburg for himself. His troops march in and Ludwig claims to be Frederick's legal guardian, despite the latter already being twenty-three years of age. Frederick is an adult in the eyes of the law and is also married by now.
Caroline of Hesse-Homburg (1819–1872), was a Princess consort of Reuss of Greiz by marriage to Henry XX, Prince Reuss of Greiz. She was the regent of the Principality of Reuss-Greiz during the minority of her minor son Heinrich XXII, Prince Reuss of Greiz, from 1859 until 1867.

3 de mar. de 2020 · Caroline Amalie was the eldest of the three children and the elder of the two daughters of Gustav, Landgrave of Hesse-Homburg and Princess Louise of Anhalt-Dessau. Caroline’s father joined the Swedish Army in the service of his godfather and namesake King Gustav III and then joined the Austrian Army where he saw action in early 19th-century battles.
