28 de jun. de 2016 · In a key passage of the System of Transcendental Idealism, Footnote 16 Schelling specifies that the understanding of necessity depends on the degree of consciousness (and what appears as contingent only appears as such because the ego does not exactly have consciousness) (ST, 100; SW, I/3, 462–463), an indication that is without doubt the key to Schelling’s transcendental idealism.
Abstract. In his Introduction to the System of Transcendental Idealism (1800), Schelling states that “the objective world is simply the original, as yet unconscious, poetry of the spirit; the universal organon of philosophy – and the keystone [ Schlußstein] of its entire arch – is the philosophy of art ” (STI 12 [SW I/3:349]).
