Student Employment. At Amherst College, 90% of students have at least one job before graduation, and 100% of work-eligible students can work on campus without regard to their financial need. W elcome to student employment at Amherst College! Students have many opportunities to work and gain valuable experience to compliment their studies.

The College’s actual annual cost of educating a student at Amherst is approximately $109,000. However, income from our endowment and from gifts and grants subsidizes that amount significantly, even for students who do not receive financial aid.
