Lieutenant General Sir Anthony Arthur Denison-Smith, KBE, DL (born 24 January 1942) is a former British Army officer who commanded the 1st (UK) Armoured Division from 1993 to 1994. Military career. Educated at Harrow School and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Denison-Smith was commissioned into the Grenadier Guards in 1962.
Anthony Denison played mob boss Ray Luca in the 1980s TV series Crime Story. The show was a cult hit from 1986-88 (and made a star of another cast member, Dennis Farina). After Crime Story Denison settled into a career as a character actor, specializing to a degree in suspense and crime movies like Criminal Passion (1994) and Road Kill (1999).
