I’m Thinking of Ending Things es la historia de Lucy y de Jake, y de una visita incómoda a los suegros. También es la historia de un misterioso intendente escolar. Es una comedia oscura y grotesca, una road movie, un drama tristísimo y sobre todo es una película de horror psicológico (énfasis en psicológico).
I’m Thinking of Ending Things es ese tipo de película compleja y culta que los críticos suelen poner por las nubes y que luego al gran público en general aburre, y con la que seguramente puede quedar muy bien hacerse el purista, pero la realidad es que alguien debería coger una tijeras y pegarle unos buenos recortes, y quizás así tendríamos algo más digerible.
