Strangers on a train viel me licht tegen, al had ik hoge verwachtingen van de film. De film, die tot Hitch beste gerekend wordt begon weinig bijzonder en werd gaandeweg steeds interessanter. De film is best mooi geschoten maar kan niet tippen aan bv het oudere en ook zwart-witte Shadow of a Doubt (1943) .
