Well intentioned for sure, and it does a pretty good job of profiling how hard it is for a women in America where husbands can really get away with everything, and the stigma around being a rape victim and how trials are not good when it comes to proving rape because of how hard it is to prove with "evidence". I read up on the case before watching the movie so I wasn't shocked by the outcome, though I really wouldn't have been anyway. Side note: the real John Rideout was convicted of two charges of rape 40 years later. If anyone from the jury was still alive at that point I wonder if they would have had any regrets.
