17 de oct. de 2017 · Jasper was born in 1431 the third son of Henry V’s widow, Catherine of Valois and Owen Tudor, the keeper of her wardrobe. Both he and his brother Edmund were half-brothers to King Henry VI. Jasper’s parents had secretly married around 1429 but had kept the marriage secret because Owen was a Welshman and a commoner.

Only one man, Jasper Tudor, the Lancastrian half-brother to Henry VI, fought from the first battle at St Albans in 1455 to the last at Stoke Field in 1487 and lived to forge a new dynasty – the Tudors.
second son of Owain Tudor and Catherine de Valois, widow of Henry V; for the circumstances of his parents' marriage, see the article on Owain Tudor.Born at Hatfield, Hertfordshire, he was brought up at the convent of Barking, Essex, with his elder brother, Edmund, and their interests appear to have been fostered under the kindly eye of their royal half-brother, Henry VI.
21 de dic. de 2015 · On 21st December 1495, Jasper Tudor, 1st Duke of Bedford and 1st Earl of Pembroke, died at his manor at Thornbury at the age of around sixty-four. His entrails were buried at the parish church at Thornbury and the rest of his remains were laid to rest at Keynsham Abbey, according to the instructions he left in his will of 15th December.
