When Marion Douglas was born in 1470, in Kilmaurs, Ayrshire, Scotland, her father, Lord Archibald Douglas 5th Earl of Angus, was 21 and her mother, Lady Elizabeth Boyd Countess of Angus, was 20. She married Sir Cuthbert Cunningham 3rd Earl of Glencairn on 24 June 1492. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. She died after 6 March 1542, in her hometown.
