Parr was the son of Sir Thomas Parr of Kendal and the younger brother of Catherine Parr, Henry VIII's last wife. He took part in suppressing the Pilgrimage of Grace in 1536 and was created Baron Parr of Kendal in 1539. 22 de sept. de 2012 · Katherine’s great-grandfather, Sir Thomas Parr (b.1407) was Sheriff of Westmorland and Escheator of Cumberland & Westmorland. He married Alice Tunstall, co-heiress of Sir Thomas Tunstall of Thurland Castle and Isabel Harrington. By this connection she was a cousin to Bishop Cuthbert Tunstall who served Henry VIII and all of his children.
