Herman(us) Boerhaave (Voorhout, 31 december 1668 – Leiden, 23 september 1738) was een Nederlands arts, anatoom, botanicus, scheikundige en onderzoeker. Hij was een hoogleraar die een tijdlang drie van de vijf leerstoelen van de medische faculteit bekleedde, rector magnificus was van de Universiteit van Leiden en directeur van de Hortus botanicus Leiden .
