On October 17 1875, after having been temporarily transferred to Madrid, the academy was relocated in the Alcázar of Toledo. It was closed in 1882 to be absorbed by the newly created General Military Academy, but was re-established as the Academy of Infantry in 1893 when the General Military Academy was dissolved.
Infantes was born in Toledo on 18 May 1892. In 1907, aged 15, he entered the Toledo Infantry Academy where his classmates included Francisco Franco and Juan Yagüe. Graduating in 1910, he was commissioned as a lieutenant and was sent to join the Spanish African Army in Morocco.

Museum of the Army. The Museum of the Army ( Spanish: Museo del Ejército) is a military museum in Toledo, Spain, devoted to the history of the Spanish Army. It is one of the National Museums of Spain and it is attached to the Ministry of Defence. [1] The collection was previously housed in Madrid, and the museum opened on its present site in 2010.
