Primrose Hill (then named the “Forest of Middlesex”) was once a dense forest in Northwest London where people hunted wild ox, boars, and deer. But, with the fall of King Henry III’s royal tenure, the forest turned into an open field and meadow with narrow streams. From 1816 to 1820, the Regent’s Canal completed the canal in Primrose Hill.

There is plenty to see and do in the 395 acres that make up The Regent’s Park. Wander through Queen Mary’s Gardens and surround yourself with the scent of nearly 12,000 roses. Keep an eye out for the ‘Royal Parks’ rose as you make your way through the garden which is also home to the Delphinium border and Begonia Garden.

6 de feb. de 2024 · Primrose Hill is one of the highest spots in London; a beautiful, wide open space to relax and take in the panoramic (and protected) view of the whole London skyline. It’s a great place for a run, too. You can pick up a coffee or light snack at The Primrose Hill Café, or bring your own picnic and just enjoy being closer to nature.
Visiting Primrose Hill. Recommended visiting time is around two to three hours, depending on whether you want to sit down and enjoy the views from the top of Primrose Hill. Perhaps it may go without saying, but a climb up to the top of Primrose Hill during the sunrise and/or sunset hours are the best time to visit the area.
