In the Final Cut, this scene does most of the heavy lifting with Bruce’s flashbacks, as he basically narrates to Chase how he became Batman. This flashback occurs after Chase knocks down a vase of flowers, triggering Bruce - the same thing happens in the work print but it’s instead framed as just another flare-up.
