To date, JMTP has provided over 400 individual scholarships to train at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy. Through scholarship tryouts, progression through JMTP programs, and a dynamic recruiting and outreach effort, we place children from under-resourced families in the tri-state area into our ongoing academy programs.
The John McEnroe Tennis Academy is an $18 million, 20-court tennis complex on Sportime Randall’s Island, Manhattan, New York. The complex was designed by Ricardo Zurita and is the largest tennis facility in New York. Founded by tennis legend John McEnroe, the John McEnroe Tennis Academy offers training to children as young as 3-5.

It also blows a lot of people away since it’s located in a sports complex that costs just under $20 million. The New York location isn’t ideal from a weather perspective, but a lot of the courts are indoors.
The John McEnroe Tennis Academy is his attempt to resurrect the ethos of his youth by using Port Washington as its template, with McEnroe playing the role of Hopman.
