Right circle: 3 coloured pencils + white pencil. Now let’s start by starting our third (right) circle. We’ll use the exact same layers as the circle in the middle, but this time in between every couple of layers we’ll use a white. Once we get all of our layers down we’ll burnish with the white.

Begin your sunset picture using lighter colors (yellow, then orange) where the sun is at, either above or below the horizon. Use a horizontal movement with a colored pencil. Layer a darker yellow on top of a lighter yellow without being precise about covering the layers 100%. Reach outwards with the yellow.
