The current Neoclassical Schloss Wilhelmshöhe was designed by architects Simon Louis du Ry and Heinrich Christoph Jussow from 1786 to 1798 for Landgrave William IX of Hesse.

She died on 16 June 1711, in Weilmünster, Oberlahnkreis, Hesse-Nassau, Prussia, Germany, at the age of 58, and was buried in Kassel, Gelnhausen, Hesse-Nassau, Prussia, Germany.
