25 de sept. de 2022 · Archibald Campbell, First Duke of Argyll, died on 25 September 1703 at the age of 45. Campbell was the tenth Earl and the First Duke of Argyll and attempted to regain the lands his father had held firstly by courting the support of King James VII and then by becoming a champion of William and Mary, who restored his lands to him.
He grew up with his family at Dunderave Castle, and enjoyed the patronage of both Archibald Campbell, 3rd Duke of Argyll and Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville.
