Hill House was founded in 1912 and occupies the site of the former RAF Officers’ Quarters of RAF Finningley. Nursery Education Grant for all four-year-olds and most three-year-olds (15 or 30 hours free Early Years Provision) Maximum of 45 children per session. Staff / pupil ratio of 1:8. Open from 8.00am – 6.00pm in term time. Adventure playground. School holiday activity programme run by our own staff. Home-made food with family service at lunch time.
Hill House is a family-run co-educational school for children aged 4 to 13 years. Prince Charles famously attended the school in the 1950s before moving on to Gordonstoun. The school was originally founded in Switzerland in 1949 and has an annex in Switzerland that pupils use for music as well as mountaineering and ski trips in summer and winter respectively.
Hill House offers a very full and vibrant programme of extra-curricular activities, which are additional to those offered as part of the normal school day. Over 100 activities are offered each term, which take place either before school, at lunchtime or after school, most of which are included in the school fees.
