John Elphinstone, 13e lord Elphinstone, né le 23 juin 1807 à Cumbernauld House et mort à Londres le 19 juillet 1860, est un homme politique et administrateur colonial écossais.
Sir Howard Elphinstone, b. 1773, a major general in the army, eighth in descent from John Elphinstone of Baberton, 2d son of Robert, 2d Baron Elphinstone, was created a baronet April 3, 1815, for his distinguished services during the whole of the Peninsular war, and particularly at the battles of the Nivelle and Nive. He died in 1826.
