  3. Ambrose Dudley, 3rd Earl of Warwick (KG, c. 1530 - 21 February 1590) was an English nobleman and general, and a favorite of Queen Elizabeth I, Robert, Earl of Leicester. -He was Dudley's older brother.

  4. This alabaster and marble monument is to Ambrose Dudley (d1590), 3rd earl of Warwick. It consists of a effigy on a tomb chest with pilasters and angled columns. The Warwick bear is at his feet and the tomb chest contains heraldic shields around its sides.

Ambrose and his brother Henry were "restored in blood" in 1556 and in 1561 Ambrose was elevated to the peerage as Baron d'Lisle and Earl of Warwick.
