Fabrizio Ciano, 3rd Count of Cortellazzo and Buccari (1 October 1931 – 4 April 2008) was the son of Count Galeazzo Ciano and his wife Edda Mussolini, and grandson of Benito Mussolini. He was the author of the memoir Quando Il Nonno Fece Fucilare Papà (When Grandpa Had Daddy Shot).
Edda Ciano, Countess of Cortellazzo and Buccari ( née Mussolini; 1 September 1910 – 9 April 1995) was the daughter of Benito Mussolini, fascist Prime Minister of Italy from 1922 to 1943. Her husband, the fascist propagandist and Foreign Minister Galeazzo Ciano, was executed in January 1944 for his role in Mussolini's ouster.

Su marido fue nombrado embajador italiano en Shanghái, y fue allí donde nació su primer hijo, Fabrizio Ciano, el 1 de octubre de 1931. La pareja volvió a Italia en 1932, cuando Galeazzo adquirió el cargo de Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores. Por muchas razones, el suyo era un matrimonio abierto y ambos tenían amantes.

Il libro ripercorre quella vicenda storica dal punto di vista del dramma familiare. Buona parte dei Mussolini oggi riposa nella cripta di famiglia nel cimitero di San Cassiano a Predappio (Forlì).
