John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol (27 August 1665, Bury St Edmunds – 20 January 1751) was educated at Clare College, Cambridge, and became Member of Parliament for Bury St Edmunds in March 1694.
20 de nov. de 2023 · John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol (27 August 1665 20 January 1751) was an English politician. John Hervey was born in Bury St Edmunds, the son of Sir Thomas Hervey. He was educated in Bury and at Clare College, Cambridge.
The eldest surviving son of John Hervey, 1st earl of Bristol, (1665–1751), he was educated at Westminster School and the University of Cambridge. He then made the customary “grand tour” of Europe and, at Hannover, Ger., became a firm friend of Frederick Louis (later prince of Wales), the eldest son of King George II.
