Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) is a rock opera, science fiction, musical comedy, and horror film, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. Based on a small-time 2002 stage musical, it released to a very limited audience on November 7, 2008. Despite receiving fairly negative reviews and being considered a "box office bomb", the film gained a decently-sized cult following which it maintains to this day.
