Von Dincklage hielt sich von 1928 bis 1934 häufig in Sanary-sur-Mer auf und lebte in der dortigen deutschen Migrantengemeinde als Mitarbeiter des SD (Sicherheitsdienst, Nachrichtendienst der SS).
