The new Talking Spirits album ‘Hands’ will be released on Zephyrus Records on the 9th of June. Tracks feature founder James Lascelles (various keys, dulcimer, melodica and percussion), Tim Herniman (sax/violin) and former bandmates from the legendary Breakfast Band Richard Bailey (drums and percussion) and Kuma Harada (bass and guitar).
A leader on and off the pitch, central defender Lascelles became United’s captain at the start of the 2016/17 season. The son and brother of professional basketball players, he could have pursued a career in the sport himself but instead opted for football - joining Nottingham Forest in 2011 despite growing up close to the home of rivals, Derby County.
