1 de abr. de 2002 · The autobiography of former Defence Secretary Sir John Nott. Nott entered Parliament in 1966 after a career in the City. He became one of Margaret Thatcher's chief lieutenants and was appointed Trade Secretary in her first Cabinet. In 1981 he moved across to Defence where he implemented a wide ranging Defence Review.

The Thatcher Archives has her notes on the call, as well as her annotated copy of John Nott’s celebrated earlier statement announcing the recapture of South Georgia, nearly two months earlier on April 25.
