RICHARD GRENVILLE TEMPLE TEMPLE, 1ST Earl (1711-1779), English state man, eldest son of Richard Grenville (d. 1727) of Wootton, Buckinghamshire, was born on the 26th of September 1711. His mother was Hester ( c. 1690-1752), daughter, and ultimately heiress, of Sir Richard Temple, Bart.
When Hester Temple was born in 1692, in Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom, her father, Sir Richard Temple, 3rd Baronet, was 58 and her mother, Mary Knapp, was 57. She married Richard Grenville in 1710. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 1 daughter.
Richard Grenville-Temple, 2nd Earl Temple KG, PC (September 26, 1711 – September 12, 1779) was an English politician. The eldest son of Richard Grenville (1678–1727) of Wotton Underwood , Buckinghamshire and of Hester, later Countess Temple, he was educated at Eton College , and in 1734 was returned to Parliament
