Aristide BRIAND (1862-1932) Avocat et journaliste politique, Aristide BRIAND milite d’abord dans les rangs du syndicalisme révolutionnaire. En 1901, il rejoint le Parti socialiste français de Jean JAURES dont il devient le secrétaire général. Député socialiste en 1902, il collabore dès sa fondation (1904) au journal L’Humanité.
Ils vivent leur amour dans un hôtel de la place Saint-Michel, puis s’établissent boulevard Voltaire. De cet idylle, nait un enfant en 1884 alors que Anna a 29 ans : Marius, Aristide, Guillaume Olivier. Briand ne reconnut pas cet enfant mais lui prodigua pendant toute sa vie une attention particulière, en favorisant ses emplois notamment.
