  2. Biography. John Bowes, 10th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne was born 14 April 1769 to John Lyon, 9th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne (1737-1776) and Mary Eleanor Bowes (1749-1800) and died 3 July 1820 of unspecified causes. He married Mary Milner (-1860) 2 July 1820 .
