Lady Dorothy Spencer; Robert Spencer, 2nd Earl of Sunderland; Lady Penelope Spencer (c. 1642–1667), died unmarried. The widowed countess lived at Brington, Northamptonshire, but eventually returned to Penshurst Place in Kent to live with her parents.
He married Dorothy Sidney Countess of Leicester on 20 July 1639, in Penhurst, East Sussex, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 20 September 1643, in Newbury, Berkshire, England, United Kingdom, at the age of 22, and was buried in Saint Mary the Virgin, Morpeth, Northumberland, England.
