Barnim V (1369–1402/1403) was one of the Dukes of Pomerania. He was the son of Bogislaw V . He ruled over parts of Pomerania-Stolp ; first the territories near Stargard Szczeciński , and in his last years, 1402–1403, he co-ruled Pomerania-Stolp with his brother, Bogislaw VIII .
Barnim VIII was the son of Duke Wartislaw VIII of Pomerania-Wolgast. After his father's death in 1415 his widow, Agnes of Saxe-Lauenburg, initially held the guardianship of her sons Barnim VIII and Swantibor IV, and as well as the sons of her brothers-in-law Barnim VI, Wartislaw IX, and Barnim VII. Ana era una hija del Duque Enrique I de Luneburgo (1468-1532) de su matrimonio con Margarita (1469-1528), hija del Elector Ernesto de Sajonia. Se casó el 2 de febrero de 1525 en Szczecin con el Duque Barnim XI de Pomerania (1501-1573). En ocasión de su matrimonio, Barnim concluyó una alianza defensiva con el padre de ella.
